7.11.2013 | HANSA HEAVY LIFT participated in Breakbulk Americas 2013
HANSA HEAVY LIFT participated in October 2013 in Breakbulk Americas 2013 exhibition and conference in New Orleans. The team met up with a lot of customers and caught up with existing contacts at the two-day show, which was attended by over 4000 visitors.

The exhibition was a big success, with plenty of opportunities for HANSA HEAVY LIFT to discuss specific projects and introduce customers to the capabilities of our fleet of super heavy lift vessels and the expertise of our in-house engineering team.

"New Orleans is a great place to meet customers, refresh and establish new
contacts," said Joerg Roehl, chief commercial officer.

"We were delighted to book some new projects at the show, which demonstrates the importance of attending this type of event."

May 14 – 16, 2013 | HANSA HEAVY LIFT at “Breakbulk Europe“ 2013
After its debut in 2012, HANSA HEAVY LIFT participated for the second time in one of the most important exhibitions of this year, the “Breakbulk Europe”.
The exhibition was already a big success for HANSA HEAVY LIFT and due to the booth relocation to the main hall; we registered even more qualified visitors compared to last year. People actively discussed the recent market trends in Europe and customers talked to us about their specific project requests.
The first exhibition day was concluded with an invitation for our customers to an exclusive event in the evening.

Also the last exhibition day was highly patronised and therefore the HANSA HEAVY LIFT Team had a lot of stimulating customer talks which were used to explain in detail all the advantages of the fleet and the in-house Transport Engineering which HANSA HEAVY LIFT has to offer. There was a strong interest in our Transport Engineering with a number of engineers in attendance to discuss with our visitors some of the details of their projects.

We are excited to see what “Breakbulk Europe” 2014 will bring.

April 23 – 26, 2013 | HANSA HEAVY LIFT is part of the „TransRussia“, 2013 in Moscow
The 18th TransRussia took place in Moscow from 23rd to 26th April 2013. In total, over 500 exhibitors from 27 countries participated in the fair. The TransRussia is the largest international meeting place for specialists from all areas of the transport and logistics sector in Eastern and Central Europe. In addition to the individual exhibitors the national stands also provided a very good impression focusing on the Asia-Europe traffic. The German national stand is traditionally the biggest one.
HANSA HEAVY LIFT participated for the first time this year in the Trans Russia in the Russian capital. As exhibitor under German federal participation our booth was always well attended. It paid off that our Russian speaking colleagues were at the booth as they could easily discuss customer requests and specific projects into detail.  Having skilled trade fair hostesses proved to be an advantage in case business English was not sufficient in a conversation.
HANSA HEAVY LIFT presented itself as a professional partner for tailor-made transport solutions, which was appreciated by our existing as well as potential new customers.

An evening ceremony at the German Embassy in Moscow to which all German exhibitors of the TransRussia where invited rounded off an impressive trade fair week.

We are looking forward to presenting us again at this exhibition in 2014!

April 02 – 04, 2013 | For the second time HANSA HEAVY LIFT attended the Intermodal in Sao Paulo
Due to the relocation of HANSA HEAVY LIFT’s booth to the new built hall 4, the company welcomed more qualified visitors compared to last year. Brazil is still a very interesting growing market especially when it comes to the big and challenging projects within the oil – and gas sector. That was also the reason why HANSA HEAVY LIFT was very happy to notice that more visitors compared to 2012 attended the Intermodal.

Many qualified visitors were impressed by our shipments. Especially one of our most challenging projects in Chile created much interest. The loading of a ship loader in Bremen, Germany and the discharge and installation of this cargo in Punta Lackwater, Chile caused a lot of stimulating conversations. If you want to have more information about this project, please have a look here: Media library »

Within an exclusive dinner in the evening of the first exhibition day our customers could relax and reflect on the impressions of the day and enjoy a wonderful view over Sao Paulo.

We are already looking forward to next year and more exciting projects in South America.

March 12 – 15, 2013 | HANSA HEAVY LIFT participates in “Breakbulk China” 2013 in Shanghai
Once more HANSA HEAVY LIFT attended with its own booth at “Breakbulk China” which took place in the metropol of Shanghai. As already in the previous year, the exhibition was highly patronised and our colleagues on-site had many interesting discussions with their professional visitors.

Our Commercial and Chartering department as well as some people from our Singapore office were on-site and discussed specific cargo requests with our customers. Furthermore, our customers had the opportunity to meet our CEO, Tomas Dyrbye and our Chief Commercial Officer, Joerg Roehl to talk personally about future projects and recent market trends within the Asian market.
During an exclusive Dinner in a relaxed atmosphere with a wonderful view over the Shanghai Bund conversations have been progressed and new projects have been discussed. At the end of the day, after stimulating exchanges, HANSA HEAVY LIFT and its customers concluded:  it was a successful evening giving us both an optimistic view into the future.

For next year HANSA HEAVY LIFT is also looking forward to attending the “Breakbulk China” in Shanghai.

November 01, 2012 | HANSA HEAVY LIFT attended Breakbulk Americas 2012 in Houston
Once again, HANSA HEAVY LIFT presented themself at the Breakbulk Americas in October 2012. This year's conference was held in Houston and enjoyed an international audience. Especially on the first day, the expectations were far exceeded by the number of visitors. On our booth, many visitors inquired about the services offered by HANSA HEAVY LIFT and informed themselves about the outstanding projects that were implemented in 2012 by HANSA HEAVY LIFT.

With deep interest all visitors discussed with our experts loading options, the benefits of our fleet and informed themselves about the current market trends. On Wednesday, 10th of October, 2012 HANSA HEAVY LIFT invited its customers to a nice event in the Treebeards restaurant, where the conversations have been deepened and valuable contacts were made. Participants from our Top Management like CEO Tomas Dyrbye, CCO Joerg Roehl, Head of Americas Kirk Hoffmann as well as our representative for the Brazilian market Gilberto Lima had been on site and welcomed our appreciated customers. HANSA HEAVY LIFT demonstrated that the company has established itself well in the Heavy - Super Heavy Lift - and Project Business as one of the market leaders.
The fair was also in 2012 a success for HANSA HEAVYLIFT: The feedback from our customers has been positive and HANSA HEAVY LIFT is looking forward to the next reunion in 2013 by then in New Orleans.

May 30, 2012 | HANSA HEAVY LIFT invitation to celebrate the official house warming – Office facilities transformed into a festive location
After a year of hard work HANSA HEAVY LIFT finally found the time to officially celebrate its arrival in Hamburg. At 15.00 sharp the Hamburg based HANSA HEAVY LIFT team welcomed its first guest for the house warming party. The event took place in the beautiful winter garden which offered our guests a stunning view of Hamburg’s famous Hafencity. The relaxing atmosphere combined with the nearness of the harbor created the perfect ambience to discuss business and share ideas on heavy lift and the project market. Thanks to the perfect selection of music, business related talks soon took a backseat and everybody was invited to log-off and just enjoy the lovely atmosphere. The highlight of the evening was the selection of culinary specialties which were inspired by the geographical locations of our offices in Hamburg, Singapore and Houston. There is no doubt that the bar keeper was a popular person this evening, serving tasty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

No doubt, it was easy for our guests to make their own assessment of the lovely evening and we are sure that they would all agree with us that the house warming party was a resounding success. The most interesting and creative feedback of the evening was the idea to organize maritime events using the stunning atmosphere of the winter garden on a monthly basis. Well, we cannot guarantee that, but after receiving such positive feedback it is HANSA HEAVY LIFT’s intention to establish an annual summer event for our customers, friends and partners. Stay tuned!

We are looking forward to see you next year!

May 22 – 24, 2012 | HANSA HEAVY LIFT’s first official appearance at Breakbulk Europe was a huge success
The first official participation of HANSA HEAVY LIFT at this year’s Breakbulk Conference was an important milestone in helping to create brand awareness and to establish the company within the Heavy Lift and Breakbulk sector. The HANSA HEAVY LIFT booth was extremely well attended in hall H. Our visitors had the chance to discuss all kinds of exciting topics regarding heavy lift and project cargo as well as what the future of the industry holds. It was our pleasure to prove our expertise and spontaneity. It did not matter whether you spoke English, German, Spanish, Norwegian, Russian, French, Italian, Chinese, Arabic or the sometimes mystic language of the engineers. Our team was able to discuss at length any requirements our visitors had, and we could see that there was definitively a very good impression given by our representative from our transport engineering department, where upon she was able to produce complicated stow and engineering plans within 45 minutes - true to our slogan “The difference in shipping!”

HANSA HEAVY LIFT is looking forward to see you next year!

April 10 – 12, 2012 | Intermodal South America 2012
First Exhibition Attendance in South America
After the successful participation at the Breakbulk Conferences in New Orleans 2011 and Shanghai 2012, the Intermodal conference in Sao Paulo April 2012 was just around the corner. HANSA HEAVY LIFT planned its participation in this conference as meticulously as possible, knowing that the South American market is of major importance for heavy lift carriers but that it has also its own rules. The target for the Intermodal was not to have as many visitors as possible, but rather to have good quality conversations with our existing and potential core customers. It was also important for us to meet with the other attendees of Intermodal and learn how they see and evaluate the future development of the South American markets. Generally speaking HANSA HEAVY LIFT sees a bright future for the heavy lift business in South America. The discussions we had with our customers provided us with valuable knowledge about the local project and heavy lift industry. Thanks to the help of our exclusive agent Gilberto Lima from WASA Projects & Logistics we had the chance to organize a number of interesting customer visits. HANSA HEAVY LIFT would like to say thank you to “Giba” who continues to be a big support in establishing the HANSA HEAVY LIFT brand within the project and heavy lift industry in South America.
Another HANSA HEAVY LIFT milestone at the Intermodal was the debut of our new colleagues Joerg Roehl and Kirk Hoffman. Joerg Roehl joins us as our new Chief Commercial Officer responsible for all worldwide commercial activities and Kirk Hoffman joins HANSA HEAVY LIFT as our new Head of Americas. Both received a very warm welcome from the entire HANSA HEAVY LIFT team and are eager to meet new challenges.

After the Intermodal conference, HANSA HEAVY LIFT took the opportunity to join the WWPC (Worldwide Project Consortium) to meet with project forwarders and discuss market trends, freight rates and upcoming projects.

Feb. 29 – March 01, 2012 | Breakbulk Shanghai
HANSA HEAVY LIFT celebrates together with its customers the completion of the newbuild program with the delivery of the HHL KOBE, which is for now the last of a total of seven P2-Class ships. HHL also took part in Breakbulk Shanghai
After the successful fair debut at the Breakbulk conference in New Orleans HANSA HEAVY LIFT participated in its first conference on the Asian continent. This time it was the organizer of the Breakbulk Conference who was excited to see if Shanghai would attract as many visitors as its predecessor in Singapore had. The success of the fair exceeded both our and the organizers’ expectations. The attendance on the first day attendance was especially impressive and we even had queues in front of our booth waiting to meet the HANSA HEAVY LIFT team. At one point we were afraid that our company brochures would run out. During the first day more than 200 brochures were given out to selected industry specialists.

On the same time our customer event was prepared for the 1st of March to launch the HHL KOBE which was the last delivery of a total of seven P2-Class ships. Just after the conference, customers and representative from the HANSA HEAVY LIFT team made their way to the yard to celebrate the official launch of the vessel. We had great speeches, beautiful traditional dances and a tea ceremony. Our customers took the chance to take a closer look at the vessel while talking to the captain and crew members on board discovering the technical refinements of our P2-Class vessels. Subsequently, we invited them to enjoy the rest of the evening with a nice dinner and a marvelous view of the impressive Shanghai skyline. There was no doubt that our customers enjoyed the whole event and showed special interest in the technical details of our vessel and the know-how of our crew.

October 25 – 27, 2011 | Breakbulk New Orleans
Breakbulk debut for HANSA HEAVY LIFT
HANSA HEAVY LIFT passed its first practical during last year’s Breakbulk Conference in New Orleans. Our entry into the specialized niche market of project and heavy lift shipping attracted interest among both customers and competitors. Throughout HANSA HEAVY LIFT’s appearance at last year’s Breakbulk Conference as well as during the follow on discussions, we were able to convince the last few skeptics that we are a focused and dedicated heavy lift and project carrier eager to compete with the best within the hypercompetitive market. Last year’s fair presentation was an important milestone with regards to our ambitious target to establish HANSA HEAVY LIFT among the blue chip heavy lift carriers and convince our customers with our quality and continuous improvement mindset.
